CivicRec Incident Report: Site Disruption 9.7.2022
    September 8, 2022

    Incident Description

Beginning at 7am CDT, Tier 2 support began receiving reports that internal users were unable to log into CivicRec on the internal side. There was a release for CivicRec that went out the morning of Wednesday September 7th, so product engineering was engaged at 8am CDT.

The product engineering team investigated what could be causing the issue and after several hours of investigation was able to identify the root cause.

    Cause

Due to one of the tickets released on 9.7.2022, select customers with a specific configuration were affected and not able to log in.

    Resolution

CivicPlus engineers identified what configuration changes needed to be updated and updated these settings for the affected customers around 4pm CDT on 9.7.2022.

    Preventative Measures

This configuration setting has been added to our QA test plans for tickets related to logging in and authentication. New customers added on the platform will default to the new configuration.
