    CivicRec Incident Report: Checkout Error 7.11.2022

    Incident Description 

    Starting on Monday July 11, 2022 around 10:15am CDT, customers began reporting that they were having issues trying to checkout. They received a checkout error and were unable to view their receipts.

    Cause 

    A previous defect ticket resolution that was deployed had a syntax error resulting in a table lock condition that prevented transactions from being completed.

    Resolution 

    Systems engineers were able to revert the changes that were deployed to production to reverse the reported error.

    Preventative Measures 

    This is a difficult bug to detect based on the original changes.
