At approximate 8:00 AM Cst on 5/1/22, the hosting team was notified of login issues for IDS3 clients to the CivicClerk Board Portal and Boards & Committees module (Also affecting the CivicEngage Product).  Engineers quickly realized that a self-signed SSL certificate on the Identity Servers had expired.   A new certificate was quickly generated but attempts to use the new certificate caused the application to crash.

Engineers later discovered there was a fallback certificate in place for use by developers, but configuration changes to the web server configuration were needed to force the application to use the fallback certificate. At approximately 3:30 PM Cst, the configuration change was made to force the use of the fallback certificate, and the login issues were resolved.
