    Incident Report

    On Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 5:10 AM CST CivicPlus Systems Engineers completed a planned enhancement release for CivicEngage Central.

    On Monday, February 7 at 9:45 AM CST CivicPlus Support received the first customer report of subscribers not receiving SMS messages from the Central Notify Me module. CivicPlus Systems Engineers investigating the issue discovered Notify Me was unable to resolve the SMS notifications service, requiring a website restart to resolve the issue.

    Customers reporting to Technical Support were restarted and resolved manually, with their approval, on a case-by-base basis.

    In order to minimize disruption to customer sites, we established and communicated a maintenance window on Wednesday, February 9 from 10 PM to 6AM CST. During the maintenance window, CivicPlus Systems Engineers implemented a change and restored the ability to send SMS messages from Notify Me.

    Central System Engineers have planned maintenance that will further minimize future downtime for websites needing configuration updates. 

    We do not anticipate any further issues related to this event.

    CivicPlus Systems Engineers have identified the issue and determined the need to open a maintenance window.
    The maintenance window will be overnight in slow hours of usage, to mitigate any service disruptions. The maintenance window will be Wednesday, February 9 from 10 PM to 6AM CST and is expected to result in up to one hour of downtime as updates are applied.
    Customers needing a resolution prior to the scheduled maintenance window should contact CivicPlus Technical Support for assistance.

    CivicPlus Engineers have applied a fix to resolve the Notify Me SMS functionality limitation. We have verified this resolution on multiple sites and the customer reported issues have been resolved. If you continue to experience issues please contact CivicPlus Technical Support.
