    CivicPlus Systems Engineers continue to work on resolving this issue as quickly as possible. An update will be added to this post when it is available.

    On September 21st at approximately 5:15 PM Central Time, CivicPlus observed a large increase in network traffic. It was immediately determined to be a large Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) and Data Center engineers began to implement DDoS Mitigation Services and other measures to ensure services remained online. The goal of this DDoS attack was for the sole purpose of taking sites offline. This attack did not compromise our systems or result in any data loss.

     

    The mitigation services were fully implemented by 5:45PM. Sites restored to expected performance levels at this time.

     

    This DDoS attack exceeded 45Gb/sec and still in progress. CivicPlus is monitoring the situation and will continue to implement countermeasures to ensure sites remain online. CivicPlus engineers are investigating reports of a few clients reporting issues when uploading files to their sites.
